About Us

OUR STORY

For years, we searched for clothing that felt right — pieces that looked as good on a Tuesday morning as they did at a Sunday dinner. We couldn't find it. So in 2018, we built it.

What started as a single rack of linen shirts in a small studio off 14th Street has grown into something we never quite imagined. Today, Cooper & Hayes is a Washington boutique known for timeless pieces, considered tailoring, and the kind of quality you only notice when it lasts.

We keep our collection small on purpose. Every season, a handful of pieces we're proud of — no more, no less. We'd rather make ten shirts we'd wear ourselves than a hundred we wouldn't. That principle has shaped everything: the fabrics we choose, the partners we work with, the cuts we revisit and refine year after year.

Our customers tell us they keep coming back because our pieces simply work. A Cooper & Hayes button-down looks right at the office, at brunch, on a porch in late August. That's not by accident — it's the whole point.

After eight years, we're stepping into a new chapter. To make room for what's next, we're closing out our current collection at up to 70% off. These are the same pieces we've spent years refining — now offered at prices we may never repeat. Once they're gone, they're gone.

Whether you find us in Washington or online, we're grateful you're here. Thank you for being part of our story.
